Coffee and philosophy 

Watching nature in the yard. 

Kindness at break of day.

What a simple point to make — beauty is properly in the realm of the spiritual, not the physical — but how profound an effect would this lesson have had on me had I truly learned it in my youth? 

This is a great example of why I study Stoicism: it reminds me not only of what I need to know about living my own life, but also about what I should be teaching my children.
