241113 What I learned in my studies this morning 4
Today's Meditation(s):
Tao Te Ching, 53 (Deng Ming-Dao and Jane English)
When the court is arrayed in splendor,
Tao Te Ching, 53 (Deng Ming-Dao and Jane English)
When the court is arrayed in splendor,
The fields are full of weeds,
And the graineries are empty.
Yes. True twenty-five hundred years after stated.
One thing I am forever grateful for is my utter lack of desire to tell other people how to run their lives. Fuck that.
Earlier in life, I mistakenly thought I could participate in politics and help my community. I even moved to DC and worked on the Hill. I ran campaigns. I was involved in a gubernatorial race. I ran issues campaigns. I did it all.
Then I ran. I ran from this pit of treachery and inhumanity as hard and as fast as I could.
I saw behind the curtain and feared for my soul. If I stayed, I was lost. I went.
And now I'm here. Reading words from a different time and a different culture, and finding the same situation.
No more. No way.
