250101 What I learned in my studies this morning 5*
Today's Meditation(s):
It's a new dawn
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life for me, yeah.
. . . and I'm feelin' good.
. . . and I'm feelin' good.
=====
It's the same old life, with the same old eyes and the same old body, but with a reminder to focus on . . .
. . . discerning what's up to me and what's not up to me and acting with due regard.
. . . remembering my duty to others and making it a part of why I wake up each day.
. . . accepting passions as natural, but not controlling: I need not react to them but can instead choose to act with a purpose.
. . . accepting facts as they are and not adding to them.
. . . being consistent in using the cardinal virtues:
— courage to act when I need act, to bear and forbear.
— temperance to act moderately and to temper my desires, aversions, and other passions.
— justice to deal with others in a way that follows Nature and reinforces my bond with the community of all.
— wisdom to apply all of these well and truly, according to Nature.
