250525 What I learned in my studies this morning 5
Today's Meditation(s):
The Pocket Thich Nhat Hanh (ed. by Melvin McLeod), A Day of Mindfulness
This is not yolo. This is not fomo. This is not permission to do dumb stuff just because I don't have the discipline to resist or the knowledge or self-control to do better.
This is spiritual attention to my day, my life, my world, my body, my mind, my everything. It's a centering on what I am doing and how I am living. It's a deliberate attempt not to just go through the motions of life and end up I don't know where because I didn't pay attention.

It's an attempt at making all of life meaningful, instead living from flashbulb moment to flashbulb moment, selected by planning or, more often, tuning in on accident to discover I'm, once again, sabotaging my life and need to true my course.
