Ad Astra per aspera. To the stars through struggle.

Amazing things happen to some people almost strictly by accident. To others, they come mostly via their effort. To all, through some combination of the two. 

But I'd wager the percentage of people who worked their ass off and were rewarded is far higher than that of people who waited for luck to happen to them.
