Today's Meditation:

Some pursue glory by the road of strife,

Others are turned to gain without restraint,

And some relax in sensual delights,

But all win evil, turn they here or there

In thwarted eagerness to find the good.

Hymn to Zeus, Cleanthes

Virtue, excellence, is my goal. Pursuing glory? gain? dissipation? Not so much. Some, but not much. Not to excess.

Not that it means I've found the good.
