210514 What I learned in my studies this morning

Today, love my life.
Tomorrow, make it better.
Yesterday, accept.

From The Daily Stoic:

I must assess my self worth based on my internal life. Am I being a good person? Am I doing the best I can? Am I playing my part to the best of my ability?

Anything else is failing the first lesson: know what is up to me and what is not up to me.

From A Guide to the Good Life by William B. Irvine

Chapter 6, Fatalism: Letting Go of the Past . . . and the Present

Amor fati . . . love of fate. To be satisfied with things as they are. Accept what is and to play the hand you are dealt to the best of your ability.
