240224 What I learned in my studies this morning 4

Today's Meditation(s):

Today's reading was about determinism in Stoicism.

As Hadot explains it, that's some hardcore determinism there. How does a determined world expect moral suasion to work? How do we know I was not fated to fail? That there's nothing I could have done differently, thus voiding the moral value of the action?

I'm sure that's a naive view, but I need to know more about it. It's a lesson which has somehow escaped me until now.

So I've got some study to do.

I'm ok with that.
